建立非洲學術研究網絡
We hope to deepen our understanding of South Africa and complete our research through workshops, group discussions, visits to locally based organizations and field work thereby enhancing research network between Taiwan and South Africa.
鑒於目前台灣青年在發展中國家的發展研究領域著墨較少，多半國際服務與志工的方式呈現，且對非洲的投入參與程度較低。面對崛起的非洲，其已成為各國競相前往的一塊大陸，擁有廣大的發展研究學術網絡。且開普敦目前為種族隔離最嚴重的地區，從荷蘭人、英國人先後來到此地後一直存在者種族隔離問題，而自1994年曼德拉執政以後，三任黑人總統不斷倡導去種族隔離政策，至今仍為多數白人的居住地，但其政策是否有效依舊為值得研究的當代議題。南非不論在非洲經貿、種族隔離、台商在地發展、多元文化與族群衝突上，都具有重要的研究地位。台灣是知識密集的瑰寶地，國人應可以提供更多的專業知識前往海外，此行希望能激發青年學子的非洲研究浪潮。並培養跨領域與區域研究之能力，藉由海外實察的實踐建立基礎的海外研究能力與學術網絡。
